This is my first effort with anew Canon 450D and an Meade ETX90c. The camera is mounted at prime focus. The impact rays look good, though the focus is still a little off. This camera is magic, well worth the investment. Now to try for a few comets.

Two new STEREO comets have been confirmed. Here is the short list of them all. 

CK08D010 M.P.E.C. 2008-E58  A. Watson
CK08D020 M.P.E.C. 2008-E58  A. Watson
CK08D030 M.P.E.C. 2008-E58  A. Watson
CK08D040 M.P.E.C. 2008-E58  R. Kracht
CK08E050 M.P.E.C. 2008-K29 A. Watson
CK08E060 M.P.E.C. 2008-K29 R. Kracht

Well, this has taken me a month of sundays but I have finally scored three good comets from the SECCHI/STEREO imager. They  are,

    CK08D030       C/2008 D3    STEREO
    CK08D020       C/2008 D2    STEREO
    CK08D010       C/2008 D1    STEREO

named after the satellite they were found in.

 They are probably all Kreutz group comets, to be determined when measured correctly. They would have all been detected in the SOHO/LASCO satellite a few days before being seen in these images. Due to routine manouvers the LASCO imager had its doors closed.

  How lucky for me! 

The Third is looking the best, though as yet not officially confirmed.
